Dec 1, 8, 15, and 22, 2007 - Christmas Tours on Grand, Escondido. We gave lots of the free carriage rides on Grand Ave. in Escondido on December 1, 8, 15, and 22, 2007 (coordinated by the Downtown Business Association of Escondido). The carriage rides were a wonderful way to end a long day of shopping in downtown Escondido. The rides were also a great way to relax after dinner or before going to the theater. Nov 23, 24, Dec 1, 15, 16, 21, and 22, 2007 - Christmas Tours at The Forum, Carlsbad. Wow! Lots of happy faces for lots of free carriage rides at The Forum Carlsbad on November 23, 24, December 1, 15, 16, 21, and 22, 2007. April 28, 2007 - Pioneer Days. The carriage will be set up in front of the Guy B. Woodward Museum from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Stop by and enjoy an old fashion day. The museum will be demonstrating spinning, weaving, tatting, rag-rug making, gold panning, corn husk doll making, blacksmithing, fur trapping, home canning and much much more. Carriage rides will be provided for $2 per person. All the proceeds will be donated back to the museum. March 25, 2007 - Ramona Bridal Showcase. The carriage was set up at the Ramona Bridal Showcase at 344 Main Street (adjacent to Sizzler ) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The show was a big success. Brides to be were able to visit all types of vendors who supply goods and services they'll need for their wedding. Many stoped by our booth and learned how we can make their event extra special. |

Dressing up in fashions from the late 19th century, the ladies were a big hit of the parade. Dec 10, 2006 - Christmas Tours in San Diego Country Estates. Elf Colleen brought Santa to the San Vicente Resort and Inn in the San Diego Country Estates on December 10, 2006. The reindeer appreciated the day off so they could watch the Chargers win another one. After the kids told Santa what they wanted for Christmas they came outside with their parents for a special holiday carriage ride. June 3, 2006 - Flag Day Parade in La Mesa. We had a great time in the Flag Day Parade in La Mesa on June 3, 2006 with the Grand Ladies of the Old West. May 13, 2006 - Mother's Day in Escondido. Two carriages were set up in Escondido at the corner of Maple and Grand Street from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. (coordinated by the Downtown Business Association of Escondido). Local retailers sponsored the carriages rides for their patrons. Tour de ForkŪ wristband wearers were treated to free carriage ride. Non-Tour de ForkŪ participants also rode free provided they have receipts dated May 5 to May 13 from Downtown Escondido businesses totaling $20 or more. All other riders were charged $5 and the money will be donated to a local charity. December 11, 2005 - Christmas at the Inn. The carriage brought Jolly Old Saint Nick to the San Vicente Resort and Inn in the San Diego Country Estates. The local children were treated to visiting with Santa Claus telling him their wish lists for Christmas, and then getting to take a carriage ride. October 29, 2005 - Fall Festival. Carriage rides were provided to the trick-or-treaters at in the Ramona Oaks Park in the San Diego Country Estates.
